A couple days ago, I received Coco Chanel: The Illustrated Life of a Fashion Icon in the mail, as well as four mini notebooks with cover designs by Megan Hess. Gracing the covers of these notebooks are none other than Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Coco Chanel, and Elizabeth Taylor. These notebooks are super mini, perfect for keeping in your purse.
I have to write things down to remember them. Instead of using my google calendar, I use an actual planner; and instead of using the iPhone notebook app, I prefer to use a pen and notebook. Of course, I don’t want my purse to be unbearably heavy, so by having a mini notebook I can write down all my thoughts throughout the day and anything that I want to transfer into my planner.
I cannot wait to sit down to read and marvel at all the illustrations of Coco Chanel’s life. One of the reasons I am going to college for fashion is because I find the history and present day world of fashion completely interesting. I also love to display beautiful books throughout my room, and this one has the best spot on my bookshelf. I’m even trying to think of a way to display the three notebooks that I will wait to use until I fill the first one!
Before I sign off for the weekend, I want to let all of you know of an amazing beauty offer. Here on Graceful Glass Slipper, it is no secret that I absolutely love Kora Organics and that it is my favorite cosmetics line. One of the reasons that I look up to this brand so much is because they are very giving. I’ve received so many full size complimentary products from them, and right now, for two days only, when you spend $59.95 or more you also receive a bonus Clay Purifying Mask….for free! I’ve tried the Clay Purifying Mask before, and I love it. Breakouts and clogged pores, gone.
This offer is available through koraorganics.com. All of my favorite Kora Organics products and reviews are under the Beauty tab in Skincare. I would recommend starting with a three step system, but if I had to choose just one product to start with, it would be a moisturizer for your skin type. If I was stranded on a deserted island and could only have one beauty product, it would be the Kora Organics Soothing Day and Night Cream.
Honestly, there has yet to be a product from them that I don’t love, so if you have any questions please leave them in the comment section and I will answer!
I hope you enjoyed the pictures today (I cannot get enough of these beautiful fashion illustrations, they’re so inspiring!). Have a great weekend, and thank you so much for reading my blog today!
