This past weekend, my mom and I began buying stuff for college. If you have never read my blog before, I am moving (two weeks from today!) to Savannah, Georgia to study fashion design. I am an only child, so college is a new thing for both my parents and I, and we are not sure exactly what I ‘need’ for living in a dorm. There are those easy to think of necessities, but I know that when I get down there I am going to think of so many things I need! So far, we’ve bought a laundry basket, laundry soap, all purpose cleaner, clothing freshener, kleenex, a drying rack, towels, sheets, a pillow, a comforter, a mattress topper, a cozy backpack, a shower caddy, and paper towels. This whole shopping experience got me thinking about my beauty must-haves: what I can’t live without. Okay, I am sure I can live without them, but we all have those things that make us feel beautiful, comfortable, and together. For me, these things are:
❤ my Kora Organics Three Step System for Sensitive Skin
and
❤ my Josie Maran Vibrancy foundation
Recently, I began trying to save a little by mixing up my skin routine (not using the three step system both morning and night), and my skin broke out worse than it has in years. I really do have truly sensitive skin that cannot handle most products. Even more so than appearance, it is important to me for my skin to feel comfortable. When you have sensitive skin, it is easy for environmental factors to irritate your skin. The Kora Organics Three Step System for Sensitive Skin contains products that avoid heating the skin, while soothing and protecting it at the same time. Needless to say, I’m back to using the system both morning and night, and whenever my skin needs a little boost. As for the foundation, this is a fairly new product for me, but I wouldn’t post about it if I didn’t believe in it 100%. Never before have I used a foundation that is amazing for my sensitive skin, free of harmful ingredients, and does what a foundation is meant to do. Thank you, Josie!
I would love to know what you all think in the comment section! What kinds of things would you recommend buying for college? Any tips and advice are much appreciated! And of course, what are your beauty must haves?
Thank you so much for reading my blog today!!
Xo, Carly
