A Healthy 2017

Instead of making a New Years resolution this year, I have made a promise to myself to simply take care of myself inside and out.  I love learning about health and wellness, but for some reason it is the first thing I push aside when I become overwhelmed, stressed, or doubtful.  Today, I thought it would be fun to share with all of you my favorite health and wellness rituals to inspire a healthy and happy 2017 (and to keep myself accountable!).

❤ Writing affirmations every single day

❤ Taking really good care of my skin by using organic beauty products, eating very healthy, and drinking much water and tea

❤ Being kind to myself, and to others (This isn’t so much a ritual as it is a way to live everyday, but either way, I feel much better when I am acting out of kindness!)

❤ Eating slowly, with mindfulness and gratitude

❤ Taking a few minutes out of each day to read, whether it be a book, magazine, or blog post (Reading has always been a way I have dealt with stress.)

❤ Gratitude for everything (For me, being grateful makes all the difference.)

This list is short and sweet, but I wanted to keep it simple.  I may even do posts in the future that add to it, what do you all think?  I would love to hear in the comment section what some of the things are that make you feel healthy, inside and out.

Much love,

Carly xx

  1. Aw this is such a lovely post. Taking care of yourself is something that we should do more of! I love the idea of only using organic beauty products. These are things that we put on our skin every day so it should be as chemically-free as possible! Do you have any recommendations for affordable ones? ☺️ And taking some time away from technology to read is definitely something I’m going to try to do this year more! It’s so hard to switch off sometimes but I think it’s very needed! xx
