Pretty Pretty & Believing Things Will Work Out

Today I want to share a few pretty things and a little message that I have been thinking about a lot recently.  So, first ….

A new edit of an old picture …. I miss my mom’s weekly flower arrangement on her dining room table.

My friend and I decided to pop inside Bluemercury yesterday on the way home from the art store, and I couldn’t help but take a picture of this dreamy display of La Mer.

A rough draft of a drawing I am working on for one of my classes.  I thought about waiting and sharing the final piece, but since GGS is like a diary for me, I want to share the process, too.

These are just a few recent images and ideas, but I am planning on sharing more of my fashion sketching here on the blog.  Now, for part two of this post ….

I have already wrote about my New Year promise to take care of myself inside and out, and I would now like to share some of the ways I try to go about that.  First and foremost is peacefulness within, because speaking from personal experience, when I feel fearful and doubtful, I somehow forget my goals and what is important.  I love the affirmation Miranda Kerr wrote in Empower Yourself, “I believe that everything will work out in the way it is meant to.”  I try to remember to say this to myself every day, because when something doesn’t work out the way I wanted it to or goes sour, I am able to move on in the moment.

❤ You deserve to be happy, joyful, and at peace.

Sometimes, it is simply trusting that no matter what is happening, everything is happening for a reason.  “Everything happens for a reason” is something I am sure you have all heard many times before, but I love the simplicity in believing that everything will work out in the way it is meant to.  With that belief, I can go to sleep knowing that the universe will take me where I need to be.

Thank you so much for reading!

Much love,

Carly xx
