A Journal Entry + Inspiration Photos

My thought process right now:

“Maybe I should write in my journal….or I could just type it all up on my computer and post it on GGS!  Then I don’t have to get out of bed….”

I have been drawing all weekend long, flat drawings to be more specific.  Flat drawings are technical drawings of clothes, and I really enjoy doing them.  I have 40 drawings of clothing (front and back) due this Wednesday, so as part of my new habit of staying on top of my work, I have been drawing for hours a day.  This morning I did take a little time for myself.  I decided that I wanted to go see the sunrise at Tybee Island.  The beach is so close to me here in Savannah, that I really want to make the most of it this year.  I walked along the water for an hour and a half this morning, and I can honestly say that it was the best thing I could’ve done for myself this weekend.  I even stayed in last night so that I could wake up early this morning!  More and more I am enjoying the quietness.  Not the quietness around me (I love being around people!), I mean the quietness of nature and meditation.  Being so close to the ocean today, in all it’s vastness and power, I felt so much peace.  I also collected some beautiful seashells that were as big as the palm of my hand.  I couldn’t believe it!  I have never found seashells that big before.

Meditating for ten minutes each morning is becoming a habit for me.  Meditation is a bit tricky to explain, but please comment below if you would like me to talk about it more!  I may do a post on it anyway.  It is doing wonders for my stress/anxiety, as well as just helping me feel inner peace no matter what is going on around me.

I hope all of you had a lovely weekend, and thank you so much for reading!

xx Carly

P.S. Here are a few photos of inspiration for the week ahead.
