For Love & Lemons

Happy Sunday beauties!  One thing I am becoming more and more sure of is quality vs. quantity, especially after I have been noticing that a few pieces of mine are falling apart! With that being said, I am saving my pennies to invest in For Love & Lemons.  I have never said this before about a label, but I would wear every single piece they have ever made.  I love soft prints and lace, and For Love & Lemons creates the most beautiful silhouettes out of them.  What I love most about their clothes is how the designs are ultra feminine, sexy, and can go from day to night.  Versatility and quality are the two things I look for the most in a brand.  I saw on Instagram this morning that they are getting ready to release their Fall campaign and I cannot wait to see it.  Also, if you are going to shop directly from their website be sure to sign up for UNiDAYS so that you can receive 15% off!

I am constantly keeping an eye out for their pieces to go on sale.  It is that time of year where I am purchasing new bras, and I happened to find a bralette of theirs for $40!  Yay!!  I am sharing more on the clothes side of For Love & Lemons today, but they are just as known for there skivvies as they are for their dresses.

I would love to know what your favorite brand is in the comment section!  As always, thank you so much for reading.

Much love,

A Note On Style

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

Hi beauties!  These are just a few photos that I have pinned recently for style inspiration. It isn’t surprising that my style is really changing given that I just finished my first year of college.  Isn’t college the time where we grow into who we are?  We often times follow the path of who we think we should be, rather than who we could be (or are meant to be).  But, we can choose to let our authenticity and uniqueness shine through!

I love the color palette of each of these outfits: summery, yet the pieces are versatile and can be styled according to any season.  Selena Gomez, Elsa Hosk, and Leonie of Ohh Couture are some of my favorite style icons.  And speaking of icons, I am putting a post together all about Brigitte Bardot (style, hair, spirit, etc.), and I would love to know if any of you have anything interesting to share?

As always, thank you so much for reading and please leave your thoughts in the comment section!

Much love,

Soft Colors & Soft Sweaters

I’m so excited to start blogging again.  It has been weeks since my last post, a few weeks too long!  Right now I am on holiday break back home, working at Agnes & Orson and enjoying a little downtime.  A mini photoshoot happened this morning, where I captured some of my favorite things as of late that I just cannot wait to share with all of you.

Today I woke up to a winter wonderland, a beautiful blanket of snow covering the ground with a continuation of defined snowflakes falling from the sky.  I decided to stay in my pajamas and tackle my to do list of the day bright and early, and feeling inspired, I knew that today was finally the perfect day to sit down and write a Graceful Glass Slipper blog post.

Right now, I’m just loving wearing my soft sweaters again and feeling all bundled up and cozy.  The soft colors of the sweaters pictured match their material, and I like to add a floppy hat as an interesting detail (my hat is by Brandy Melville).

What is your favorite Winter wear?

Much love,

Under The Weather

I woke up very early this morning with a sore throat, upset stomach, and aching ears.  My immune system probably isn’t the strongest right now because I haven’t gotten a good night’s sleep since Saturday night.  I felt a bit off at first, but then I decided I could still make this a good day!  After all, I still had places I needed to be and things I had to do.  It is in times like these that I’m reminded, “Some days you just have to create your own sunshine.”

First, I drank a ton of water before picking out my outfit of the day.  I had yet to wear my new, blush dress from Nordstrom, and being that it is an extremely soft and airy piece, I thought that today would be the perfect day.  The dress is by their brand B.P. in case any of you are interested. 🙂  Of course, I threw on all of my go to accessories including my Tiffany & Co. necklace, Karen Walker sunglasses, Miu Miu handbag, and my Sam Edelman sandals.    I’ve worn these sandals like crazy since I arrived in Savannah, and they’ve really done a great job of withstanding the uneven brick sidewalks!  I absolutely love them.

In addition to picking out a comfy yet put together outfit, I knew that I needed to eat something very healthy to give my immune system and energy levels a boost.  So after attending my school’s major and minor fair (which I will talk about in another post!), I decided to check out Beetnix.  Beetnix is an organic juice bar that also makes clean, organic smoothie bowls.  I have been waiting for an excuse to splurge on a healthy treat, and this seemed like an appropriate opportunity to do so.

This smoothie bowl had blended pitaya, banana, and strawberry topped with their very own raw almond butter, hemp granola, sliced banana and strawberry, cacao nibs, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of bee pollen.  Whenever I’m sick, I am very picky about food in the way that I only want fruit, oatmeal, almonds, granola, or more fruit.  This smoothie bowl sure filled me up, so I shouldn’t need to eat much more the rest of the day.

There are always ways to make each day a good one.  Even a bad morning can be followed with a lovely day!  Thank you so much for reading my blog, and I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.

Much love,

Carly xx
